Van dad and mom found themselves in Texas with not only moi, but Beamer as well. This provided them with the perfect opportunity to take a long motorcycle trip. I would stay on the farmstead and be entertained by the Texas Star who is constantly on the move and runs a verbal narrative at the same time. I am going to hand off. this portion of the trip to Beamer……see you in about 6 days.
It is about time I got to pipe in on the Lawless adventures. After all, we have over 30,000 miles together so far. It will be a long time before Sunday catches up with that number. Mike thought that a ride to Big Bend Park in far west Texas would be fun and beautiful. Yes, there is a difference between west Texas and far west Texas. The first day was fairly short as we were riding to Fredricksburg, only about 250 miles. Van mom and dad had been here once before on a rented Harley. Obviously, that helped them in their decision making process when it came to me. Fredricksburg has grown quite a bit since then, especially the number of wineries. This town is a gateway to the Texas Hill country and very popular with motorcycles as well as cyclists. It is also very German.. The local biergarten and German food were still delicious and the blue bonnets and many other wildflowers were just beautiful. Tomorrow will have a few more miles as we head to Marathon Texas.
