Staying two nights at Cowboys and Angels gave van dad and mom time to relax and take me on a leisurely ride on some great motorcycle roads. It also gave van dad time to check out the various old farm implements that decorated the property. He was especially pleased to determine that the two bottom plow was a Case plow. How he can know this kind of stuff still baffles van mom. The second plow was a sulky plow. Even van mom could determine that. Van dad was able to enlighten the resort owner (cowboy)to the specifics of his decorative plows.

Our ride for the day headed toward Leakey via a fun road that followed the. Guadalupe River. This must have been a fairly big horse area as we saw several horse and rider signs.

We stopped for lunch in Leakey and learned from the waitress that ranches in the area were becoming a thing of the past. The up and coming generations were now trading in the cattle for big game exotic animals that folks pay big money to to hunt. There were a number of these exotics roaming around the Cowboys and Angels property.
