Twister 2.0

After four nights on the beach it was time to head to the Texas daughters little farmstead. Van mom was particularly excited as a very cool “God” gift was awaiting. A bit of backstory is required before going further.
Go back in time about 20 yrs ago. I wasn’t even a twinkle in van dads eye back then. Texas daughter owned a cute little bay mare named Twister. She was quiet, even tempered and a nice mover. This was her third horse and definitely her favorite. Texas daughter and van mom spent many hours together and became very close because of this little mare. Training, showing and caring for the mare became the cement in the foundation of a wonderful mother/daughter relationship. As life moved forward for Texas daughter, the little bay mare was sold to a little girl to begin her show career with.
Texas daughter now has a 3 1/2 yr old daughter, the Texas star. She has slowly been getting her little farmstead ready for a horse or pony for the Texas star. The search was proving to be more difficult than she planned. A providential nudge from above prompted her to wonder, is Twister still alive and kicking? Still having contact information for the buyer from 13 yrs ago, she sent an inquiring email. She received a quick response. “I can’t believe I just received your email about Twister. I was just ready to put her and her pasture mate, Cutter online for free.” Part of the deal was that Texas daughter had to take both horses, but if after arrival, Cutter didn’t work out, she was free to do with her as she wished.
Preparations were made, hay was purchased, shipping was arranged and the anticipation grew day by day. The historic winter storm delayed the arrival, but finally in early March the trailer pulled in the driveway. Many texts were going back and forth between Michigan and Texas with updates on the arrival. So you can understand why van mom was pretty darn excited to get to Texas. It was hard to believe that Twister 1.0 would have a 2.0 version that would now be enjoyed by her daughter and grand daughter, providing cement for another strong mother/daughter relationship.

God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
