It is has been to long since I have posted on this blog. My apologies. Can’t lie, it is a bit of work to stay on top of writing a blog. I said that if I had 3 people tell me that they checked on my blog regularly then I would pick up the pen and start writing again. Well, I had 4 people tell me that they liked reading the blog, so here I go again. Although I enjoyed writing this through the eyes of Sunday the van, it became a bit confusing and quite a bit of effort. I want to keep this fun and easy, so you will be hearing directly from van mom for the time being.
We are on our way to Texas. We always try to be with Amy for her birthday and as it falls in early spring it makes for a good time to travel south. Loading up the van in Grand Ledge with 17 degree temps and howling winds was a challenge, but we managed to pull out on Monday March 28th and headed for Prophetstown State Park in Indiana. We stayed here on our return trip from Texas late fall 2021. What a beautiful and big park. Note to self for next year…..no showers or running water until April 1st. We like to travel in the shoulder part of the shoulder seasons so this is one of the downfalls.
Best part of the day was the maiden voyage of Mikes new E bike. Some say E is for electric, I say it is for Equalizer. We got this last December and have been anxious to get it on the trail. It exceeded expectations. I believe I will have someone to motor pace me on my road bike!
This state park is on the Wabash River. Cool one lane bridge to get us there.
There was a controlled burn going on in the park as well.
