Today is Amy’s 37th birthday. We have been very fortunate to have been able to celebrate almost all of Amy’s birthdays with her. The day starts with a trip to Enchanted Gardens to pick out spring plants for around the house and for the flower fairy garden. This garden center is quite lovely. It has a wide variety and even a section dedicated to pieces for fairy gardens.

Upon returning home it was time for birthday brownies, ice cream and Ruthies homemade hot fudge sauce. Amy serves this slug of sugar early in the day so that Sarah has plenty of time to burn off her extra sugar energy.
The ice cream selections included Unicorn Swirl, hand picked by Sarah. Unicorns are a big thing with kids these days. Something I would be completely unaware of it it wasn’t for a granddaughter.

The celebration day ended with dinner at Anthonies. This high end restaurant is located less than 10 miles from Amy’s place and has exceptional food. On the way there, Sarah was looking out the window at the beautiful bluebonnets and saying, “gorgeous, just gorgeous.” It is always a treat to go there and I always get the same entree as I have never seen it on any other menu, grilled shrimp and grits with bacon mango sauce. It was a beautiful Texas evening to finish celebrating our girl. We are so proud of her and love her to the moon and back. A very blessed day.
