Sunday October 23rd
We left our beautiful spot with the intention of ending the day early enough to pull out the bikes and get in a good ride. We headed towards Honey Creek State Park on Rathbun Lake in Iowa, the biggest lake in the state. It was a very windy warm drive. Corn is king in Iowa and we are OK with that. Miles and miles of acres and acres.

We had the pick of campsites upon arrival. $12 for the night. Not to shabby especially considering the view. We got the bikes unloaded, but the weather was changing quickly. Rain moved in and dampened out biking plans. We had to start happy hour early….darn.
