Final Two Days

April 3rd & 4th, 2023

A sixty degree night led to bursting redbuds as we left Osage Cove and headed for Texas. We had not only found spring but we found summer temperatures today, very warm, close to 90 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I even found myself wishing for a few clouds. We would get to Texas today and decided to stay at Ray Roberts State Park. This was the most costly camping spot of the trip. The park had miles of hiking and biking trails but it was just too hot to get excited about unhooking the trailer so we could get the bikes out. Texas State Parks are all very nice and well run, but compared to where we had been on all the previous nights, this was just OK.

Tuesday morning we moved from the campsite to the public use area where we could catch the sunrise. We got our showers, made breakfast and then completed the last leg to Amys. We logged 1802 miles on this trip and are very grateful to God for safe and beautiful travels. This week we celebrate Amys birthday and our Lords resurrection. Feeling so blessed.
